Activities

Michael Geißler started his career within the local utility Bewag (today Vattenfall Europe) and as an independent consultant before he took on the Technics and Projects Division of the Berliner Energieagentur in 1994.

 

In 1997 Michael Geißler became managing director of the Berliner Energieagentur. The Agency opens up energy saving and efficiency potentials for customers from industry and commerce as well as the housing, service and public sector on a local, national and international level.

 

Since September 2000, Michael Geißler is Secretary-General of FEDARENE.

 

In 2000, Michael Geißler became the chairman of the board of the Association of German Energy Agencies (eaD e.V.). He is member of the board of the European Council for Energy Efficient Economy (ECEEE, since 2001) as well as founder member of the German Association of Combined Heat and Power Generation (since 2001). Additionally, Michael Geißler is member of the European ManagEnergy-Reflection-Group.
