Activities
Current activities
From september 2002 and currently, he is Director of the Energy division of the walloon Region administration; he succeeded Jacques Alexandre as head of this department.
He is also Government Commissioner to the walloon regulator of the liberalized electricity and gas distribution market.
Former activities
until 1986 : lawyer of the Energy Conservation Service of the Belgian Ministry of Economic Affairs, responsible for the drafting of the first Belgian energy saving legislations
From 1986 to 1989, he was head of this service.
After regionalisation of the Energy Conservation Service, from 1990 to 1996, he has become a member of the staff of the Director General of the federal Energy Administration, Brussels, Belgium, responsible for the preparation and the management of the co-operation process between the federal and regional governments.
In 1997 and 1998, he was a member of the personal staff of the Minister of Economy, responsible for a set of non nuclear energy matters
From 1998 to 2002, he was advisor in the Federal Energy Administration, responsible of the Energy Policy division (a.o. for the relations with European Union at the level of the energy working group of the Council of Ministers).
