Eco-sustainable semi-detached house with high thermal performances, Nenagh, Ireland

The case study illustrates energy savings realized in the House, located on William Street in Nenagh as part of the SERVE project.

Start Date

November 2007

End Date

October 2012

The case study deals with energy saving measures implemented in the house of William Street. It is a semi-detached house originally having a dark red brick  finish. It was built using a cavity construction with full cavity fill of fibreglass insulation. The house has been extensively upgraded to include significantly higher thermal performance standards on almost every energy loss element: external wall insulation, roof insulation, high efficiency condensing boiler, heating controls, high efficiency cylinder, wood burning stove, low U Value windows.
