The added value of the SERVE Project for Ryan Stoves Ltd business

This case study deals with Ryan Stoves Ltd participation in the SERVE project. As Larry Ryan, the company’s owner, explains in the interview, Ryan Stoves Ltd achieved several benefits from its involvement in the eco initiative; there was a definite reduction in energy consumption as a result of the installation of stoves in SERVE households. The emissions reduction from the replacement of open fires with high efficiency stoves was about 70%. Furthermore, the participation in the project helped local economy of Tipperary region thanks to the creation of new employment. In conclusion, Larry is very positive about his experience with the SERVE project not only in terms of increased revenue but also because of the increased awareness of issues like cleaner fuels, quality and efficiency.
