Working group on Building:
Energy Performance in
Building
Regions and Energy
Agencies have a proven track record in the implementation of energy
policies, particularly for the Directive Energy
Performance in Building. They have implemented innovative
projects, organised and leaded awareness campaigns and developed
regional incentives to favour the implementation of that Directive.
This Working Group will
provide a platform for the exchange of best practices and European
knowledge transfer between the Regions in order to improve the
energy performance of buildings.

Workshop “Make the switch now! With a simple switch to energy saving
lighting, you can make the difference” –
This workshop will be
organised by the consortium “Philips, Fedarene and Energie-Cités” on
the 7th of October from 4.45 pm to 6.30 pm, at the Committee of the
Regions – room 62.
The workshop will focus
on the contribution of indoor an outdoor lighting to achieving the
EU’s objective of reducing energy consumption by 20% by 2020. Best
practices from cities and regions, which have already made the
switch, the most appropriate forms of financing and original tools
helping municipalities to communicate their energy efficiency
projects to citizens will be presented. During the session we will
show you how much CO2, electricity and money can be saved in
specific situations.
