European Week of Regions and Cities 2017 – SAVE THE DATE

european week of regions

The 19th of January the official European Week of Regions and Cities 2017 kick-off meeting was held in order to decide the themes for this annual rendez-vous of regional and local practitioners. Secretary-General Jiří Buriánek (CoR) and Director-General Marc Lemaître (DG REGIO) welcomed old and new potential partner and talked, among other topics, about the role of cohesion policy. This year’s European Week will take place just ahead of the publication of the Cohesion Report and of the presentation of the EU multiannual financial framework 2020-2026.

This year’s programme is a bit lighter than last year’s, since there will be a maximum of 25 working sessions (workshops or debates).
The guide for proposals will be online soon!
Details about conditions of participation and contact details are featured in the European Week of Regions and Cities guide for event partners. Candidate partners have now until 31 March to submit their application.

The dates are 9-12 October 2017. Under the main headline of ‘Regions and Cities working for a better future’, the event will focus on three sub-themes:
