The Provincial Agency of
the Energy of Ávila was created through the SAVE program financed by the
European Commission and by the Delegation of Ávila. Its main action is
participating to the management of the different programs and national
initiatives, at a local and regional level; to improve energy efficiency
and to optimise energy supply conditions in the area. The
Agency provides advices in order to enhance the socio-economic and
environmental development and to promote the rational use of energy (RUE).
The Agency mainly works
and co-operates in the following sectors:

Cogeneration (Tertiary
sector, public buildings)

Public lighting

Saving energy at home
-
Domestic Hot Water
-
Renewable Energy
Sources (RES): Biomass, Thermal Solar, Photovoltaic , Hydraulic, Wind
energy.

International contacts
at EU level

Energy Audits:
addressed to Municipalities and SMEs (collect energy consumption data,
survey energy-using equipment, etc)

And also in horizontal
actions that indirectly interact with energy matters such as: rural
development, environment, transport, etc.
