The Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA) was established in March 1998 as a
partnership between two Local Authorities North Tipperary County Council,
and South Tipperary County Council, and the local third level learning
institute, Tipperary Institute.
TEA
mainly covers the County of Tipperary, which is situated in the middle of
Southern Ireland and has a population of over 133,000 people.
The
mission of the Agency is to ‘develop, promote and provide appropriate
energy services to all sectors of Co. Tipperary and beyond with the aim of
promoting, developing and implementing best practice and energy policy. In
doing so it will assist in limiting green house gas emissions and
contribute to sustainable development’.
The
agency is involved in a wide range of activities across various energy
sectors but its key areas of expertise include:

as a fuel - domestic and commercial applications.
