Rhônalpénergie-Environnement, an Association set up in 1978 by the Rhône-Alpes Region, promotes different policies in the field of the rational use of energy and the protection of environment. Its action focuses on the local authorities and the social housing. The SME's also form the subject of punctual files.

Particular activities have been developed since the last years such as the action as follows :

• Campaigns of global energetic audits in the middle towns (2 000 to 10 000 inhabitants)
• Analysis of the conditions of the development of the little Cogeneration (50 to 500 kW) in France
• Active collaboration of the setting-up in the Rhône Alpes region of the "Wood-energy" plans and of the local development
• Thinking over the boost of thermal solar
• Studies and setting of operations for the valorisation of the biogas on 3 sites in the Rhône Alpes regions
• Ecological planning: realisation of environmental diagnosis on homogenate geographical zone (up-side studies for the awareness of the elect about the transversal topic which is the environment)
• About the subject "air quality", help local authorities for the setting-up of the way up the NGV (Natural Gas Vehicles)
