A snapshot of national building renovation strategies


  This BPIE briefing provides a snapshot of measures supporting building renovation in selected European Member States as of September 2017 (Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain). These countries also prove that progress in renovating the building stock is possible if political will and priority setting are allowing it. And as local renovation strategies are equally important, the H2020 project, EmBuild, supports public authorities in Southeast European to develop their long-term plans. Towards circular economy in Finland - CIRCWASTE project


  Central Finland, together with four other regions in Finland, has started exploring the potential of the Circular economy. The focus of this 7-year Life IP project with a budget of almost 19M€ is on efficient use of material flows, waste prevention and new waste and resource management concepts. Altogether 19 pilot projects will focus on the circular economy of different waste resources. One of the key areas in Central Finland is biodegradable waste. 25th birthday of Berliner Energieagentur: reliability, trust, responsibility

The 3rd edition of the Roger Léron Award is over: the winner is known!


The 3rd edition of the Roger Léron Award has come to an end. The name of the winner, Ljubomir Majdandzic, was revealed on the evening of the 5th December 2017 during the ceremony at the Bip in Brussels. Ljubomir Majdandzic was one of the first to promote sustainable energy in Croatia. FEDARENE Networking Event for Energy Agencies - 2017


  FEDARENE hosted the 2017 edition of its annual networking event for energy agencies on the 6th December. Around 30 members of agencies from across Europe gathered in Brussels to discuss common issues and projects.  During the morning, there were presentations about the new ManagEnergy programme, the Eurostat Guidance note on Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs), as well as an introduction of the European Investment Bank’s services for local energy efficiency projects.
