Tipperary Energy Agency has created an infographic of their highlights of 2013. The agency, based in Cahir, County Tipperary, has a growing team of twelve energy experts with experience in areas such as wind, biomass, energy management and water. “We operate as a not-for-profit public good consultancy” said Paul Kenny, CEO. “This model enables us to provide cost effective professional services at a local and national level”.

Some of the stand-out achievements from last year include making €760,000 in energy savings for Tipperary local authorities, 1000 local authority houses insulated and the official opening of Templederry community wind farm. Templederry is Ireland’s only community owned wind farm and produces enough energy to power 3,500 homes. Another highlight was CEO Paul Kenny being named Green Leader of the Year at the 2013 Green Awards.
