Sustainable energy Practice at Community Level in EU's New Member states and Candidate Countries

Communities in New Member States and candidate countries are facing a large need renewable energy. The SEC-Tools action entails a systematic approach to to meet this challenge:

Refining and elaborating generic tools for communities
Undertaking pilot actions in selected communities
Targeted dissemination to communities in all NMS

The project’s interaction of elaborating generic tools in combination of undertaking pilot actions in 9 committed communities is expected to provide a strong push to improving the basis for SEC operations around NMS/EU.

SEC-Tools entails comprehensive and proactive dissemination to a large share of communities in especially NMS in order to promote sound SEC operations

SEC Toolbox
The SEC Toolbox is to facilitate qualified sustainable practices at community level. Its basic content and structure is shown below:

The SEC Tool box will be made in co-operation of EU10 and NMS/CC experts. It will take point of departure in typical needs of communities in terms of developing a sustainable energy system.
SEC Tool will partly consist of software tools and supplementary guidelines following the above structure. The relevance and usefulness of the tools will be tested via the project's pilot actions.
