ManagEnergy Directory of  European Energy Agencies

ME_DirectoryLocal and regional energy agencies play an important, though often overlooked, role in achieving the EU 2020 energy and climate goals. Energy agencies support local development by acting as intermediaries between local and regional authorities and other players in the energy market. They advocate for sustainability, provide information and technical guidance, and offer other services based on local energy needs. These activities help change behaviour, create jobs, and attract investments in sustainable energy at the local level.

Since its original publication, the Directory of  European Energy Agencies has become a mainstay of ManagEnergy’s work. This edition provides updated contact details for 426 agencies in 31 countries.

Energy agencies in the directory are classified according to country and type – national N , regional R or local L . For the first time, the directory lists associations of energy agencies A , island energy agencies i , and energy departments of major cities  D . The directory also contains each energy agency’s year of establishment, their number of staff, and – another first – their social media handles.
