During the World Sustainable Energy Days 2019 organised by OÖ Energiesparverband, a visit of the Jägermayrhof training centre was organised. The centre was rerfubished in 2016, reducing its CO2 emissions of 90%.
The training centre Jägermayrhof located in a historical building (built around 1900), was renovated and extended in the 1950s and 1970s. The building underwent a deep refurbishment in 2016 resulting in a CO2 reduction of 90%! The four sections of the building have different functions: seminar, hotel, office and catering area. Parts of the building are protected under historical heritage. Nevertheless, the exterior components were thermally renovated. The heating system was converted to two pellet boilers, combined with a heat pump, thermal solar (23m2) and a photovoltaic (25kW). Electric charging stations were installed in the underground car park. Lighting was converted to LED, reducing the electricity demand by two-thirds.
