The CESBA Neighborhood Award 2018 delivers the latest overview on exemplary neighborhoods in Europe!

The CESBA Neighborhood Award 2018 is part of the Global Urban Challenge 2020 of the SBE Series (International Sustainable Built Environment Series). (www.sbe-series.org)

The CESBA Neighborhood Award 2018 is organized within the CESBA-MED project (cesba-med.interreg-med.eu), financed by the ERDF Interterritorial Cooperation Funds of the European Union through the Interreg Mediterranean Programme.

The CESBA-MED project intends to improve the quality of life for inhabitants, minimize negative impacts on climate and resources as well as capitalize on key performance indicators of the CESBA SN-Tool (Sustainable Neighborhood Tool). The CESBA SN-Tool is an innovative decision-making model to support the definition and implementation of actions targeted to optimize sustainability planning measures combining the building and urban scale.

With the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the European Energy Award, FEDARENE, iiSBE international and SBE 20 CESBA gained its first partners for the Award. Further partners are very welcome.

The official launch has been set by UNEP and the Covenant of Mayors in Barcelona, on June 12th, 2018.
