Our member KSSENA is part of REGIOSTARS winning project for Youth empowerment!
REGIOSTARS announced the six EU funded projects who convinced the jury for their contribution to regional development. Energy@School, a project of junior energy guardians It was a project of won for the category “Youth empowerment for cooperation across borders – 30 years of Interreg”. Our member Savinjska, Šaleška and Carinthia Energy Agency (KSSENA) is part of it.
41 primary and secondary schools across seven European countries took part in this project. Pupils and teachers were being designated as energy guardians, giving them the task of reducing their school’s energy consumption. It involved the use of technologies such as smart meters, detectors app but also training programs.
This project, in addition to raising the awareness of young people, addresses the energy efficiency problem faced by school buildings.
This project has been financed through the Interreg Central Europe Operational Programme for 2014-2020.
