Dr Julije Domac is a recognised international expert with 18 years of experience and more than 60 scientific and professional papers in field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. He works as Managing Director of the North-West Croatia Energy Agency and in the past he acted as the national biomass programme coordinator in Croatia, project leader for UNIDO, lead expert for the World Bank, project director for FAO, expert evaluator for the European Commission (IEE and 6th Framework) and Task Manager for the International Energy Agency (IEA). Julije is President of FEDARENE since 2013.

Katarina Delsing is the CEO of North Sweden Energy Agency. She is leading a team of 13 people dedicated to help private companies and public sector to become greener, more sustainable and successful. She has a long term experience as Manager in different sectors. Previously, she worked in small scale as well as international companies. She is also familiar with start-ups and the research field. She holds a technical licentiate degree as well as a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from Lund Institute of Technology. Moreover, she also studied business administration.

 

Christiane EGGER

Christiane Egger is Deputy Manager of OÖ Energiesparverband, the energy agency of Upper Austria, and the manager of the Ökoenergie-Cluster, a network of 160 companies active in renewable energy and energy efficiency. She is also the Vice-President of FEDARENE. She is the conference director of the World Sustainable Energy Days, one of the largest annual conferences in Europe on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Christiane is an expert in energy efficiency in buildings, in solar and biomass heating and in dissemination and promotion of sustainable energy production and use. She holds a law degree and a post-graduate degree in environmental engineering.

 

Michael GEISSLER

Michael Geissler has been the sole managing director of the Berlin Energy Agency since 1997. After his studies in Process and Environmental Engineering, Michael worked as a project manager for the former Bewag AG. Later on, he worked freelance as a consulting engineer. After a further degree in Industrial Economics, he joined the Berlin Energy Agency as an associate director, building up the technology and project department. He is the honorary secretary general of FEDARENE. He is also a chairman of the Association of Energy Agencies in Germany, a member of the Berlin Climate Protection Council, a member of the advisory board of the Investitionsbank Berlin and of the deliberative assembly of the Chamber of Commerce in Berlin.

 

Adrian JOYCE

Adrian Joyce is an architect who spent 17 years in private practice before getting involved full-time in architectural policy. He was the Practice Director of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland before becoming the Director of the Architects’ Council of Europe in Brussels until July 2011. He holds a part-time post teaching Construction Technology at the Catholic University of Louvain-le-Neuve. He is a Board Member of the European Council for an energy Efficient Economy and a Member of the Steering Committee of the European Coalition for Energy Savings. He is also the Campaign Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign initiated by EuroACE (European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings).

 

Simone LOWTHE-THOMAS

Simone Lowthe-Thomas  has been working for Severn Wye for 8 years, and was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years experience working in the fields of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development, Simone has supported people, communities, organisations and the public-sector to find sustainable solutions for energy use and community regeneration work. She is a founding member of Community Energy Wales and sits on Welsh Government Advisory Groups for Climate Change, Landscape Management and Community & People.

 

Michèle RIVASI
Member of the European Parliament –  Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance (FR)

Michèle Rivasi, born February 9, 1953 in Montélimar (Drôme), is a French politician and member of the European Parliament (Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance) since 2009. She is a member of the ITRE and ENVI committees, and is a specialist in environmental health issues and in energy in the European Parliament. She is currently co-rapporteur on the governance of the Energy Union. After the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, she co-founded and chaired the Independent Radioactive Research and Information Commission (CRIIRAD) in 1986. She was also Vice-President of the Center for Independent Research and Information on electromagnetic radiation (Criirem), and former director of Greenpeace France.
