Dr Julije Domac is a recognised international expert with 18 years of experience and more than 60 scientific and professional papers in field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. He works as Managing Director of the North-West Croatia Energy Agency and in the past he acted as the national biomass programme coordinator in Croatia, project leader for UNIDO, lead expert for the World Bank, project director for FAO, expert evaluator for the European Commission (IEE and 6th Framework) and Task Manager for the International Energy Agency (IEA). Julije is President of FEDARENE since 2013.

Christiane Egger is Deputy Manager of the O.Ö. Energiesparverband, the energy agency of Upper Austria, and the manager of the Ökoenergie-Cluster, a network of 160 companies active in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Christiane is also the Vice-President of FEDARENE, the European network of regional energy and environment agencies. She is the conference director of the World Sustainable Energy Days, one of the largest annual conferences in Europe on energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Christiane is an expert in energy efficiency in buildings, in solar and biomass heating and in dissemination and promotion of sustainable energy production and use. She holds a law degree and a post-graduate degree in environmental engineering.

Michael Geissler has been the sole managing director of the Berlin Energy Agency since 1997. After his studies in Process and Environmental Engineering, Michael worked as a project manager for the former Bewag AG. Later on, he worked freelance as a consulting engineer. After a further degree in Industrial Economics, Michael joined the Berlin Energy Agency as an associate director in 1994, building up the technology and project department. He is the honorary secretary general of FEDARENE. He is also a chairman of the Association of Energy Agencies in Germany, a member of the Berlin Climate Protection Council, a member of the advisory board of the Investitionsbank Berlin and of the deliberative assembly of the Chamber of Commerce in Berlin.
Adrian M Joyce is an architect who spent 17 years in private practice before getting involved full-time in architectural policy. He was for 18 months in 2002 the Practice Director of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland before becoming the Director of the Architects’ Council of Europe in Brussels until July 2011. He holds a part-time post teaching Construction Technology at the Catholic University of Louvain-le-Neuve. He is a Board Member of eceee (European Council for an energy Efficient Economy) and a Member of the Steering Committee of the European Coalition for Energy Savings. He is also the Campaign Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign, which has been initiated by EuroACE (European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings).

Michel Lebrun’s parliamentary career began in 1987 when he was elected to the Chamber of Representatives in the Belgian Federal Parliament. One year later he became head of the Christian Democratic group. Since 1995 he has been member of the Walloon Parliament, of which he has been vice-president since 1998. He is also a member of the Parliament of the French Community. From 1992 to 1999 he was Minister of Higher Education, Research and International Relations in the French Community, before serving as Minister for Planning, Infrastructure, Transport and Telecommunications in the Walloon Government.

Serge Nocodie is the President of the Intermunicipal Heating Company of Grenoble Metropolitan as well as of Isergie. A former regional Councillor, Serge is also a Grenoble city Councillor since 1995. He is moreover a Vice President of PRIMER in charge of heating networks. He was also the Commercial Director in a branch of a large company specializing in the telecommunications sector.
Lina Yng has been the Managing Director of Malardalen Energy Agency since 2006 and is currently a Deputy Chairman of the Association of Swedish Regional Energy Agencies. Lina’s regional and national commitment for sustainable energy, together with her wide work experience from public sector to nuclear technology and industrial energy product development, has led to several expert tasks, such as energy expert in the Council for the Stockholm-Mälar Region and in the Swedish Energy Agency Energy-Efficient Lighting Board. Lina holds an Engineering Degree in Energy Management and Systems Technology from the University of Gavle.
